According to the light flux distribution ratio of the space of the upper and lower hemispheres, the lamps can be classified into the following five categories: direct lighting, semi-direct lighting, general diffuse lighting, semi-indirect lighting, and indirect lighting.
In order to be easy to learn and use, we also spelled it out. The diagram for you is as follows:
Direct lighting
Features: As long as the light is concentrated in the lower part, it is assumed that the working surface can get sufficient illumination.
Typical examples: downlights, desk lamps, etc.
Semi-direct lighting
Features: Most of the light is concentrated in the lower part. Assuming that the working surface can get proper illuminance, the space can also get a certain illuminance.
Typical examples: ceiling lamps, chandeliers, floor lamps, etc.
General diffuse lighting
Features: uniform illuminance in all directions in the space, soft light in the space, not easy to produce glare.
Typical examples: chandeliers, table lamps, bulbs, etc.
Semi-indirect lighting
Features: The upper space gets more illuminance, there is a certain amount of reflected light, and the space illuminance is more evenly distributed.
Typical examples: chandeliers, floor lamps, wall lamps, etc.
Indirect lighting
Features: The light is mainly concentrated on the upper part, and the light is uniform, which is often suitable for ambient lighting.
Typical examples: chandeliers, floor lamps, underground lamps, etc.
