What are the heat dissipation structures of outdoor floodlights?

In the outdoor lighting industry, there are three common types of LED floodlight radiators.


1. The main body of the first outdoor flood light is made of high-pressure extruded aluminum. The lamp body is divided into two parts. The power driver and the LED light source are installed in the two parts respectively to avoid the cross transfer of the heat of the LED light source and the power drive. Phenomenon, the advantage of this is to ensure the service life of the power drive and the LED light source. This is the die-cast aluminum LED outdoor floodlight used for outdoor engineering lighting.


2. The second type of high-power floodlight uses a high-quality aluminum alloy radiator and a split design of the power box, which effectively separates the electric and heat, and achieves heat dissipation through the air convection aluminum sheet structure design to ensure the rapid heat dissipation of the LED light source and extend its use life. The surface of the lamp shell adopts anodizing treatment, which is durable and not easy to fade. The structure of this high-power floodlight is also beautiful, and it is highly dustproof and waterproof.


3. The third type of LED outdoor flood light adopts direct facing and direct heat dissipation. This design scheme breaks through the traditional method of die-cast flood light. As shown in the above figure, the front and rear through holes of the heat sink are pre-heated to make the heat flow faster. Circulation, the heat of the LED heating node is directly exported, quickly reducing the heating temperature of the PN node, and reducing the light decay speed of the LED light source. This kind of direct heat dissipation structure outdoor flood light also needs to use optical grade PMMA high-efficiency lens for secondary light distribution, and the light efficiency utilization rate is ≥95%. This modular design is usually used for tunnel flood lights, as shown in the figure below. Can be arbitrarily spliced to meet the power requirements of customers in different projects.
