Steps to install LED garden wall lights

Mark the installation position: According to the previously determined installation position, use a level and a tape measure to accurately mark the location of the wall light installation hole on the wall. The level can ensure that the wall light is installed vertically and horizontally on the wall to avoid skewness that affects the appearance and lighting effect. The installation hole should match the position of the screw hole on the wall light base so that the screw can smoothly pass through the hole to fix the wall light on the wall.
Drilling: Use an electric drill to drill holes according to the marked position. The depth of the drilling hole should be determined according to the length of the wall light installation screw. Generally, the depth of two-thirds of the screw length is appropriate. At the same time, the diameter of the drill hole should be controlled to match the screw. If drilling holes on masonry walls, you can choose to use an alloy drill bit. During the drilling process, keep the electric drill perpendicular to the wall surface to ensure that the drilling is vertical. If you encounter a concrete wall, you may need to use an impact drill to ensure smooth drilling. If the garden wall is made of wood, you need to choose a suitable woodworking drill bit.
Install the fixing base or bracket (if any): For some heavier or special-structured LED garden wall lights, there may be a special fixing base or bracket. Align the fixing base or bracket with the punched hole, and use a screwdriver to screw the matching screws into the hole to fix it. When tightening the screws, tighten them in the order of diagonal lines, so that the fixing base or bracket can fit the wall more firmly and flatly, avoiding shaking or loose installation when installing the wall lamp body.
Connecting wires (when powered by wire): First, strip the insulation of the wire head leading out of the wall to an appropriate length (generally about 1-2 cm, depending on the thickness of the wire and the connection method), and then connect the wall lamp power cord to the wire in the wall. There are two common wiring methods. One is to connect the wire terminal directly, and use electrical tape to wrap the connection part tightly to ensure that there is no exposed copper wire and the tape is wrapped in multiple layers to ensure insulation; the other is to use a junction box and connect the wires according to the instructions for use of the junction box. During the connection process, it should be noted that the connected wires must correspond correctly. Generally, the live wire of the power supply is connected to the live wire of the wall lamp power line (usually it can be distinguished by the color of the wire, such as red-red or red-white connection for live-to-live connection, but some non-standard wiring may be different), and the neutral wire is connected to the neutral wire. If the wall lamp has a grounding wire, the grounding wire must also be connected to the building's grounding system or grounding terminal to improve safety.
Install the wall lamp body: For wall lamps with multiple screws, align the installation port of the wall lamp with the fixing seat or bracket fixed on the wall, and then screw the screws into the corresponding screw holes in turn and tighten them, also in diagonal order. If it is a snap-on wall lamp, align the bottom of the wall lamp with the installation part and gently press or push it in to ensure that the buckle is fully snapped into place. Be careful not to use too much force during the process to avoid damaging the buckle or the wall.
Inspection and testing: After the installation is completed, first check the firmness of the installation. You can try to gently shake the wall lamp to see if there are any signs of looseness. Secondly, carefully check whether the wire connection is stable and well insulated, and whether there are any exposed wire parts. After confirming that everything is correct, turn on the power switch (if it was turned off before) to test whether the wall lamp lights up normally. If it is a smart LED garden wall lamp, you also need to further test its smart control functions according to the instructions, such as brightness adjustment, color temperature adjustment, remote control or mobile phone APP control functions.
