Installation steps for lawn lights
May 07, 2024
When installing the lawn lamp, the lamp housing should be opened, the light source and supporting appliances should be installed, and the lead wire should be led out from the threading hole to the bottom of the lamp post. Then, the lamp head should be connected to the lamp post, and the fixing screws should be tightened. Then, align the lawn lamp flange with the foundation embedded screw and stand vertically. Then use nuts or shims to level and tighten the installation nuts.
1. Pre embedded pipelines. When wiring lawn lamps, a wire smaller than the distribution phase line should be used as a grounding wire to connect the metal casing of the lamp or lamp post, and the grounding wire should be connected to the system's "ground". If the length of the grounding wire is more than 25 meters, a repeated grounding should be carried out at the end. A 4mmx40mm galvanized flat iron with a length of 25 meters can be buried for repeated grounding, and 5 grounding electrodes should be installed. The grounding electrode should be made of galvanized angle steel with a length of 5 meters and vertically driven into the ground. The grounding electrode and the galvanized flat iron should be welded at a distance.
2. Foundation pouring. The foundation pouring work of lawn lamps is usually done by construction workers in the early stage, but it is important to note that the embedded pipelines need to be led out to avoid normal use in the later stage.
3. Install lawn lights. Open the packaging of the lawn lamp and check its integrity. Refer to the product manual and assemble the lamp. The usual practice is to open the lamp housing, install the light source and supporting appliances, lead the lead out wire through the threading hole to the bottom of the lamp post, then connect the lamp head to the lamp post, tighten the fastening screws, and align the lawn lamp flange with the foundation embedded screw, standing vertically. Then use nuts or shims to level and tighten the installation nuts.
4. Power cord wiring. The wiring work of lawn lights is best carried out by professional electricians, and it is necessary to ensure safe and reliable grounding to avoid potential hazards for later use.
